Plates cutting
Production of sheet metal plates and fittings* is a task that regularly arises in the production of any metal structures, whether we talk about columns, embedded parts, staircases or fences. In our practice, we have to deal with both simple rectangular components and the need to provide a complicated shape nesting with minimal waste, which implies the use of the appropriate optimization software.
99% of our metal plates orders are completed with the aid of our CNC plasma cutting machine. Hypertherm MAX 200 cutter allows to work with sheet metal up to 30 mm thickness providing very high quality of the cut (for instance, the taper is 3° only). For thicker materials 30-200mm, an oxygen-fuel Harris cutter can be applied.
*A sheet metal fitting — is a plate made of sheet material and is responsible for connecting the various segments of the construction.
A typical example - flanges for coupling trusses, columns, pipes and so on.

Plasma/oxygen cut plates can be of various purposes:
- stiffening rib,
- gussets,
- pillars foundations,
- flanges.
It is worth noting that the plate holes manufacturing technology does not always coincide with the technology use to cut the plate itself. It is often situation when a plate can be cut on a plasma machine, but the holes are permissible only to drill or mill.
The cutting technology is chosen according to the plate application, taking into account such factors like cut quality requirements and admissibility or inadmissibility of thermal deformations that may occur in parts in the cutting process. Sometimes a further processing the parts may be required after cutting, for instance, end descaling or working surfaces polishing. So, for especially critical flanges, which are used, for example, in the construction of towers and masts, it is necessary to carry out milling and grinding, otherwise it is impossible to fulfill the working surface waviness requirements.
Bended plates
Bended plates.
Bending operation frequently follows the cutting one. This need arises regularly in the manufacture of brackets, embedded parts or bent profiles. For such cases, at the disposal of our production there is a hydraulic bending machine with a work force of 80 tons, able to work with sheet metal thickness up to 10mm.
